 Two decades ago Big Thought started thinking BIG. North Texas education has not been the same since.

Big Thought provided programs and educational opportunities:

  • 19,400 performances
  • 5,700,000 student participants
  • 6,000 teachers annually receiving professional development

Making Big Progress
In recognition of its value, Big Thought has received a substantial, unprecedented investment from The Ford Foundation. And based largely on the strength of Big Thought programs, The Wallace Foundation selected Dallas for a major, sustained investment, one of only two in the nation. These grants will help Big Thought expand its work over the next decade. However, the long-term means for predictable, sustainable support comes from the Big Thought Endowment Fund. Big Thought is already making big strides for arts in education. By helping to ensure the long-term resources for Big Thought, you’ll help our young people take a big step toward an even brighter future.
